Wholehearted Living & Somatic Wellness
Nowadays, we hear a lot about ‘wholehearted’ living — about vulnerable connection and living an authentic life. But you may be asking yourself: what does that actually mean?

Brené Brown (PhD, LMSW), a world-renowned researcher and author, defines wholehearted living as:
Engaging in our lives from a place of worthiness. It means cultivating the courage, compassion, and connection to wake up in the morning and think, ‘No matter what gets done and how much is left undone, I am enough’. It’s going to bed at night thinking, ‘Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging’.

What I love about Brown’s writing is that it is grounded in research and brings clarity to topics that are often not spoken about such as shame and vulnerability. Indeed, being imperfect and making mistakes is part of being human.

How does it feel to contemplate being enough?

Being worthy of love and connection?

At the same time, the word somatic seems to be everywhere. It’s being used in captions, course titles, and conversations so often that it can feel like just another passing trend in the wellness world. But somatic work, from the word ‘soma’ “of the body” is now known to be an extremely important piece of the puzzle.

Long before it had a name, the body already knew how to communicate through sensation, rhythm, and response. Somatic work brings us back to that language, inviting us to listen beneath the noise and honor the intelligence that has always lived within the body itself.

Somatic work honors the body as an intelligent, living landscape. Every sensation is information. Every pause is meaningful. Healing unfolds not by fixing what is broken, but by restoring relationships, helping the body feel seen, heard, and safe enough to release what it has been holding.

In this workshop, the nervous system is met with patience, curiosity, and respect. As safety is reintroduced, tissues soften, breath deepens, movement returns, and the body begins to remember its own rhythm.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and freedom.” ~Viktor Frankl

We hope you will join us as we gently build a safe container to explore & support each other through the process of better understanding and honoring a wholehearted life.

Why We're Not Like Other Workshops

No two participants will have the same experience—this experience is yours to shape. While many workshops overload you with information to sort through once you’re home, Wholehearted creates space for both: a shared foundation and the freedom to go deeper in the areas that matter most to you.

Let’s take a minute to reflect on Brown’s words: ‘Yes, I am imperfect and vulnerable and sometimes afraid, but that doesn’t change the truth that I am also brave and worthy of love and belonging’.

Our hope is that you leave not only refreshed, but also with practical tools to integrate this experience into your daily life.  Such as:

  • Body Awareness

  • Critical Thinking

  • Releasing stress & anxiety Management

  • Cultivating Intuition

  • Experiential experiences

  • Conflict Resolution & Parenting

  • Power of Pause

(Self Belief + Having Hope + Taking Action) + Love =

A Wholehearted Life

Who Should Come?
If you've ever felt stuck repeating patterns you KNOW you want to change, this workshop is for you.

If you’re someone feeling weary, overwhelmed, or stretched thin, this workshop is for you. It’s an opportunity to push pause on the speed of your daily life, and create space for a deeper connection. Whether you come alone or with friends, you’ll find a welcoming, authentic community and the freedom to simply show up.

This retreat is for anyone who is just beginning their wellness journey, for those who have a lifelong interest, and for everyone in between.

“Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending our life running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but not nearly as dangerous as giving up on belonging, joy and love. Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light.” Brene Brown’s book, The Gifts of Imperfection

What to Expect
Expect to be comforted and challenged as you reconnect with (or discover) the truest version of yourself. This workshop is an opportunity to slow down, breathe, and step into a transformative adventure. There will be gifted practitioners, shared meals, and special activities—but more importantly, there will be space and freedom to make the experience your own.

Together, we will explore embodying & honoring our courage, compassion, and connection; releasing stress, anxiety, vulnerability, shame & fear, and how this process positively impacts your life. Overcoming powerlessness through resilience & hope.
